In Class 1 we currently have Reception and Year 1, this can vary each year depending on the the cohort sizes. In the early stages children initiate learning experiences by themselves and with their peers. They will then work with an adult in a small group or one to one to improve their reading, writing and maths skills. As the year progresses the balance between child and adult led activities shifts towards more formal learning in readiness for Year 1.
