As an Academy we do not come under the responsibility of the Local Authority, instead we have our own Charitable Trust that is funded directly by the Department for Education. The Trust is responsible for everything: the school buildings and grounds; the employment of staff, and all aspects relating to the education provision for our pupils. Trustees are Directors of what is, in effect, a small sized company!
The Trust has four Members who, between them, represent the Diocese and the Community. Governors are appointed by the Trust to act as co Directors in order to ensure that the strategic aims and objectives of the Trust are met. They play a critical role in the Leadership and Management of the School.
Full Governing Body meetings are held 6 times a year, but much of the work is undertaken by three Committees. The Trust’s accounts are published in December and are open to public inspection.
The Governing Body comprises: 3 Community, 2 Foundation ( Church), 4 elected Parent and 2 Staff ( including the Headteacher) Governors.
