Art and Design
Art at Redmarley provides children with the opportunity to delve into their creative side. The children’s learning journey has been developed to engage, inspire and challenge pupils through the teaching of knowledge and skills to enable them to create their own responses across a range of mediums and styles.
We are using the Kapow scheme of work and have introduced it into Reception this year.
The files below contain the key elements that we use to deliver art and design lessons in school. We have tailored the Kapow Scheme of Work to work well alongside our themes in each year group and have introduced Knowledge Organisers to each unit of work. It offers children the opportunity to access all of the key skills, vocabulary, facts and techniques that will be taught within that unit and demonstrates how they will be progressing these skills in the following weeks, They then have these as a reference point in their art and design lessons.
